Hello Taigo fellas :)

I purchased the Taigo 1.0 81kw in March 2022 and so far, I am quite pleased with the car. According to the information provided, this vehicle has a service interval of either two years or 30,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. However, my car's computer recently notified me that I need to change the oil within 30 days. This means I should be changing the oil at 18 months instead of the initially expected 24 months. I'm curious if any other Taigo owners have encountered a similar situation where they had to change the oil earlier than the specified service interval plan.

Before owning the Taigo, I had a new Seat Ibiza with a similar service interval set at two years or 30,000 kilometers. In that case, I had to change the oil precisely two years from the purchase date since it came first in comparison to the mileage.

Regards,
Nik

Mine is at 24 months. It depends on which service plan the dealer set it on.

Based on the information I received when purchasing the car, the recommended service interval is every 24 months or 2 years, depending on which of the two durations is reached first. This is why I am questioning whether the current issue might be attributed to a software glitch.

If you intend to use the car for more than 5 years, change the oil every year or every 10000km.

Well, according to the dealer, my Taigo is using a Long Life 0W-20 oil. This oil should be good for 30K kilometers.
