Well after a series of some five Golf Gti's - I decided it was time to change my vehicle habits and start slowing down. Must be an age thing as I am now the far side of the age for a bus pass.

Collected my car: 23rd May 2022
Bright (very) white
Shiny Black roof (with dust)
Shiny Black mirrors - and other bits
Shiny Black Misano wheels - 18 inch (not sure about black wheels - But I'm sure they will grow on me)
Eventually bought a boot liner - from company in Poland - looks very smart - and a necessary 'extra'

Noticeable difference thus far from the Gti -more miles to the gallon - thank goodness.

Regards to you all....

Jeff

Hello and welcome Archie,
I hope you will be as pleased with your car as I am with mine.
The black roof really sets it off by blending in perfectly with the spoiler and Ariel, and whilst the black mirror housing was a compulsory extra it was definitely worth it.

Ok so have travelled a couple of hundred miles now - so will offer initial comments:

1. Delighted with extra MPG

2. Disappointed there is no spare wheel (but I was aware of that at the time of purchase) Not sure just how to repair a 'flat' - kit seems to be a strange looking electric pump and a pack of
chewing gum!
3.I have the 'R' 1.1 Ltr 110 Bhp - but if I was ordering it now I would opt for the 1.5

4. Even more strange - I am not missing the Gti !

Several people have respectfully asked what the car is - I can only assume that the model is bereft of fellow Taigo's - where are they ?

Hi

Time to boost the scribbles listed within the forum pages:

According to the sales brochures there should be a drawer/ storage unit under the front seats of the Taigo - not so in my car - nothing under the drivers seat - and what seems like some kind of cage unit under the passengers seat ! (which neither moves nor opens.}

Pearls of wisdom would be appreciated...

There ! boosted the messages by one...

Regards all

The ‘cage’ under the passenger seat is home for the vehicle hand book.
I previously had the 1.0L engine in my T Cross and it was superb, As it had a the DSG gearbox I would sometimes pull the stick back briefly to engage sports mode for (what seemed) a more rapid take off.
Like you I was surprised how much dust and dirt shows up on the black roof, but still pleased with the overall look.

Daytel:

Ah thank you for that - now that I know - I will use it as the glovebox is not really big enough to take the handbook...

Well at least we have increased the the forum discussion figures..

Many thanks
