Re: Waiting patiently for new Taigo
I’m sure you will be pleased with it. I was told that it was 4 - 6 weeks from build to delivery at the dealers. Not quite sure what you mean about the wheel arch protection as mine does extend over the rear doors. I also went from a T Cross and find the Taigo is far more than a T Cross with a slopin...

Re: New Member
Hello and welcome Archie,
I hope you will be as pleased with your car as I am with mine.
The black roof really sets it off by blending in perfectly with the spoiler and Ariel, and whilst the black mirror housing was a compulsory extra it was definitely worth it.

Software update
Over on the T Cross forum Tricky2 has let everyone know about a new software update. https://www.tiguanforums.co.uk/threads/mib3-system-software-upgrade-to-version-0306.9166/ This update (version 0306) appeared on my info screen as being available as an ‘over the air’ download, which I was able to d...

Re: Volkswagen Taigo R-Line in depth Review:
Your right about the 1.5 engine. Back in 2019 I was looking to trade in my 2017 Q2 1.4. It had been replaced by the 1.5 which at the time had a bad reputation for ‘kangerooing’, so I avoided it and went for a 1.0L T Cross. As good as the 1.0L is, it did lack punch when overtaking. With good feedback...

Re: Volkswagen Taigo R-Line in depth Review:
Thanks, but I have had a second look and sadly there is no ratchet type height adjustment fitted, (the car in the showroom was the same). It does extend outwards, just no vertical adjustment. So really just a pull up lid.. A minor thing really, and easily overcome by a discreet roll of dense grey s...

Thanks, but I have had a second look and sadly there is no ratchet type height adjustment fitted, (the car in the showroom was the same). A minor thing really, and easily overcome by a discreet roll of dense grey sponge to act as a wedge. It does extend outwards, just no vertical adjustment. So real...

Re: My new Taigo has also arrived!
Hi, Thanks, the screen shots above are from the configurator, so any photos would be identical. My preference was not to have the roof rails, which meant ordering the Sunroof, Probably a good thing as the R line has a black headlining so it’s a bit gloomy without one. You may well have Rear cross tr...

My new Taigo has also arrived!
Ordered on the 16th December, and collected last week, so 19 weeks for delivery which I thought was very good in todays world. Coming from an R Line T Cross I was expecting a T Cross with a sloping roof, but far from it. The extra length and lower roof line gives it a streamline look all of it’s own...

Re: Volkswagen Taigo R-Line in depth Review:
Hi Sam, Well done, I think you covered most of it. I think it is the Life model that has the basic front seats, Style and R line both have the same comfort sports seats. You confirmed my suspicion that the arm rest is not adjustable, I noticed it on the Life model in the showroom and hoped it would ...

Re: Spare wheel size - VW say NO - FINAL UPDATE
VW still say the spare wheel 205/55/R16 will fit the T Cross RLine and is safe, but WILL NOT FIT the Taigo. I have not had a reply to my last E Mail asking why not. I emailed my dealer without disclosing I was trying to get this resolved with Customer services, and said that in the unlikely event th...
