Car is back from the garage. They fitted a new rear window an resealed it under warranty.
Apparently factory had forgotten to apply enough sealant to the original window so it was never fully water tight and then just filled up over time until I noticed.

Re: Newbie with a Service Intervals question
I think it will differ based on mileage as well, you need one after xx amount of miles so difficult to say Web says this: Taigo service intervals are flexible according to the in-car computer and can be as long as 18,600 miles The default seems to be 2 years first if below mileage limit so for 3 yea...

Re: Newbie with a Service Intervals question
Hello and welcome!
First of all it's Taigo and not Tiago
I negotiated a free plan for 2 services and it's listed as £224 value exclusive of VAT if that helps

Re: Question - Traffic jam assist?
It beeps and flashes similar to when you stop touching steering wheel during traffic assist. I think the idea is that the car could roll backwards or forward on a slope otherwise as there is no auto hand brake in this model So it's not a 100% automatic start/stop solution. But I don't think it would...

Re: Traction Control????
Which engine do you have? I got the 150hp and can definitely spin the wheels sometimes accidentally when starting from stop position like roundabout.
But I probably applied too much acceleration to be fair.
I was thinking ASR/ESP should have prevented any spin but could still be normal

5 litre (!) of water ingress in the boot
So funny story guys I just found a pond where the spare wheel should be... See pictures.. I removed around 5 litres of what seems to be rain water. Currently waiting for the shop to schedule me in for a check. Never seen something like this before.. The top layer is completely dry so seems to have c...

Re: Question - Traffic jam assist?
Hmm I don't think mine would drive into the front car, but it does prompt me to break and I think the reason is Taigo still using manual hand break whereas others use auto break.
Is that what you mean or is it literally driving ahead?

Actually I checked it again last night and it's not bright at all, it's terrible! So yeah would be worth replacing if it's easy enough?

Re: Hello All
Welcome! Agree DSG gearbox is amazing. I made the switch in my previous car (Polo) and haven't looked back. Yes it's not 100% perfect but overall I think it works really well, almost perfect in most situations incl the way it reacts to kickdown and quite smooth. Occasionally it can be weird if you a...
